“Tom… don’t you ever think of what would’ve happened?”
“Do I ever think of what? You’re being vague again.”
“If we’d made it work, you know. Us. Together.”
“Nothing would have happened.”
“Come on, Tom—”
“Leave it, Min. Nothing would have changed.”

Set Fire To The Rain = Tom/Minerva. YES/YES? YES. OTP.
I let it fall, my heart,
And as it fell you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me
My hands, they’re strong
But my knees were far too weak
To stand in your arms
Without falling to your feet
But there’s a side to you
That I never knew, never knew
All the things you’d say
They were never true, never true,
And the games you play
You would always win, always win

LOOK MINERVA IS NOT THAT GREAT. i can transfigure shit too but you don’t see me flouncing around in a skirt with all that tartan shit she wears. OKAY MINERVA WE GET IT YOU’RE SCOTTISH, GIVE IT A FUCKING BREAK ALREADY IT IS LITERALLY AMAZING HOW MUCH I DON’T CARE.

Sometimes you see something that resonates with you and your ships, and it makes you so happy that you FEEL IT IN YOUR HEART.
And it hurts.

He was often watching her. She tended not to notice - a lot of people watched her. She was opinionated and somewhat feisty but polite enough to wear a golden Prefect badge. She channelled most of her furies on the Quidditch pitch. She was tall and just a bit too pretty to be average-looking. She moved with confidence, always sure of herself, cocky in that way athletic people are.
She was dancing with the other Prefect in her year and laughing. Their dress robes were swishing in tandem. He wondered if the two had ever kissed and wondered if he cared if they had. She spun around, her hair flying everywhere as the song ended, looking for him.
She was often looking for him. (He noticed this, and wondered at it, filing the information away.)
